Boston Fenway Galles

I'm sure some of you have seen this picture, but I thought I'd put it on here because it makes me laugh every time I look at it. This happened while Boston was still a puppy. He used to greet me at the front door every time I came home from work. Well, one day I opened the door and this is how he greeted me. The funny thing was his nub was wagging and he didn't act like he was in distress at all. He was probably in hog heaven licking away at the peanut butter. The scary part was I don't know how he could breathe or how long he had that jar stuck on his head. It was really stuck on there too. I had to put him under my arm like a football and hold onto his neck with one hand and pull and twist the jar off with my other hand. I'm surprised he wasn't dead when I found him. All of that aside, it was still really funny. I mean, I took the time to find the camera and snap a picture before I took it off anyway. You should see him now. He has really put on the winter weight. He looks like a barrel with 4 twigs sticking out of it. I don't know how is little legs can even support him. He is getting to the point where he is so fat he can barely jump up onto the bed. It takes him a few tries sometimes. He needs to get onto my diet program ASAP. The weather hasn't helped things either. Its hard to take him out in the freezing weather, and he doesn't do well in deep snow either. I need to teach him how to walk on the treadmill.

The question for the week is: If you could have any job in the world, what would it be and why? Money is not a concern. Lets pretend you would be financially secure with whatever job you choose. It has to be a full time job too.

I personally would want to be a golf pro. Not a tour player, but a pro at a nice golf course. I think the tour would be fun, but the traveling would get old eventually. Plus all of that pressure all of the time might not make golf as enjoyable. I would be a golf pro so I could play when I wanted to, enter tourneys if I wanted to get serious, teach lessons, host tournaments, run a clubhouse, etc. I think it would be a blast.

Oh, this one is so easy. I would be the backup bullpen catcher for the RedSox. You get all of the perks with none of the pressure. You get the best seats to watch the best team of the 21st century. You don't have to work hard, just warm up pitchers about 3 times a game, then go home. League minimum is still six figures, so you got the cash. Could it get any better? I challenge anyone to come up with something better.

ESPN Gameday Football Anouncer for College Football Season for me. That or a job where all I do is train monkeys to do different tasks. I think that would be fun too.

Golf cart tester. Mystery restaraunt tester. ( I do that a lot anyway). Myth buster would be pretty fun too. I like to blow things up and prove things wrong.

Question of the week:
If I could have any job in the world... I don't know about the whole world but in this country I would be a librarian. I would be the one to read new stories or the latest series to children. It would be wonderful to have such easy access to all the latest and greatest as well as the classics. I think people who go to the library are usually in good spirits.

My second choice would be a teacher's aid in elementary school. I love kids and watching them learn.

I just thought of another sweet job. I would like to be a gardener in the Lake Harriet Rose Gardens in Mnpls. Seems like a delightful way to spend time, just maintaining the beds and enjoying nature.

Cole said he would like to be an editorial cartoonist after listening to an interview with someone about their take on the current presidential candidates on NPR.
